Jenna Fischer says she fought against The Office's plan to destroy Pam's watercolor painting

On the Office Ladies podcast, Fischer reveals her complaint over the Season 6 episode was shot down by Paul Lieberstein and Greg Daniels, resulting in them filming the gag of destroying Pam's painting. "I was like, 'Listen, you cannot destroy Pam's painting," Fischer You can't do it. It's the heartbeat of the show. It's on the wall. It's her relationship with Michael. It's hope. It's so many things you don't understand. You can't make this a gag.'" Ultimately, however, the scene was cut in editing.
