Margulies said The Good Wife and The Good Fight creators Robert and Michelle King had found a way to bring her character to the CBS All Access spinoff for a three-episode arc, but CBS wouldn't pay her regular fee. According to Deadline, Margulies' fee was in line with her Good Wife per-episode salary, but the show wanted to pay her its rate for guest-stars. “I’m not a guest star; I started the whole thing with The Good Wife,” Margulies said at Deadline's The Contenders Emmy event. “I wanted to be paid my worth and stand up for equal pay. if Jon Hamm came back for a Mad Men spinoff or Kiefer Sutherland wanted to do a 24 spinoff, they would be paid.”
