Gaga announced the news in a video posted to social media, tweeting: "I’ve been at home dreaming of #Chromatica, and it’s finally time to take off for the first live performance." MTV didn’t reveal what Gaga will perform, other than to say that she “will bring her chart-topping album, Chromatica, to life” and that it will be “the world premiere televised performance of her latest release.” This will mark Gaga's fourth VMAs performance, and her first since opening the awards show in 2013. Gaga also performed in 2011, teaming with Brian May for "Yoü and I," and 2009, performing “Poker Face” and “Paparazzi."
