MTV invites active duty transgender military members to VMAs in wake of President Trump’s ban

MTV has asked the Department of Defense to invite active duty transgender military members to Sunday’s ceremony, according to Variety. MTV hasn’t confirmed the request, but a a Pentagon spokesperson says that the Department of Defense is reviewing the invitation. PLUS: Taylor Swift won’t perform at VMAs, and Rod Stewart will perform remotely.
