Michael Rapaport to play shoe designer, entrepreneur and ex-convict Steve Madden in a limited series

The untitled series will document the rise and fall and rise again of Madden, a college dropout who built a shoe brand only to see it fall apart with his conviction for stock manipulation, money laundering, and securities fraud. The series will based on Madden's 2020 memoir The Cobbler: How I Disrupted An Industry, Fell From Grace & Came Back Stronger Than Ever. Madden was depicted in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, with actor Jake Hoffman playing him.
