The ABC Studios-produced Allison Tolman genre thriller was originally an NBC pilot, but it will end up airing next season on ABC. “We had an abundance of choices,” NBC Entertainment co-chairman Paul Telegdy said during an upfronts conference call. “Emergence is a great show, one that we couldn’t find a home for on NBC. We are delighted it has found a future on ABC.” This is the second year that a rejected NBC pilot has found another home. NBC last year passed on Bad Boys offshoot L.A.’s Finest, which will soon premiere on Spectrum.
