British university researcher Michael Veale used Europe's General Data Protection Regulation rights to force Netflix to show him what information it was storing while viewers participated on the interactive Bandersnatch. Veale posted on Twitter that he found Netflix kept all the individual users' data on the choices they made long after they were done watching Bandersnatch. Veale says Netflix told him it is using the data to inform its future storytelling.
