Deals are being finalized on Davidson's potential new comedy series that will reteam him with his SNL boss Michaels. Tentatively titled Bupkis, Davidson's comedy is being compared to Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm. (Davidson is an ex-boyfriend of David's daughter, Cazzie David.) According to Deadline, the comedy is described "as a raw, unflinching, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life. It will include a mixture of grounded storytelling with absurd elements depicting an unfiltered view through Pete’s eyes." Lorne Michaels would serve as executive producer via his Broadway Video production company and Universal Television, where the company is under a deal. Davidson is writing Bupkis with longtime friend and collaborator Dave Sirus, who co-wrote The King of Staten Island with him, as well as former Crashing and American Dad! executive producer Judah Miller.
