Rob Thomas on CW's The Lost Boys pilot: “We’re so close!”

The Veronica Mars and iZombie boss hasn't given up hope on bringing Joel Schumacher’s campy 1987 vampire movie to the small screen. “We’re so close!” Thomas, who's been working on The Lost Boys since 2016, tells EW. “I mean, CW never remakes a pilot, and they’re remaking this one because they believe in it, and we just have to get a couple more things right this time on it. Hopefully it will be on the air next year.”
