Star Trek's iconic 1964 pilot "The Cage" is being re-created as a hologram

The Roddenberry Archive and Los Angeles-based cloud graphics company OTOY have teamed up to re-create “1:1 life-size virtual sets, costumes, characters, and props (including fully working Enterprise interiors)” from the original pilot. The partnership is also resulting in “multi-year effort to visually memorialize Gene Roddenberry’s lifetime of work and art."
