The 12-year-old actress, who recurs as a young version of Andy Herrera, suffered the injury last October when she was on a tree swing and the metal fixture holding it fell on her head, slashing her skull. "I thought I was going to die," says Susini, who suffered a stroke and lost movement and feeling on her left side. After undergoing emergency surgery, she went through two months of intensive physical and occupational therapy, and began showing signs of recovering her mobility. Susini has been well enough lately to return to the set of the ABC series.
