The show's production company, Evolution, "has hired an outside consultant, an infectious disease doctor and a team that will be doing the testing — and, if need be, contact tracing — if someone was to get COVID-19,” an insider tells Page Six. “They’ve been in touch with LA County Health officials on a regular basis as well.” They also plan to shoot at locations that will be cleared of people, with the cast doing their own wardrobe. Yet MTV has "gone silent" on the producers' plans. The Hills: New Beginnings filmed three episodes before shutting down production in March.
