The hit global reality TV franchise is eyeing a Eurovision-style international competition, tentatively titled One World, One Masked Singer. The potential series would feature celebrities from local editions facing off in a worldwide battle in search for “The Global Masked Singer Champion.” Craig Plestis, who developed the American version of The Masked Singer, will helm the international version. The Masked Singer launched in South Korea in 2015 from creator Wonwoo Park. “This project has been a dream of mine since I realized that The Masked Singer was going to be a global phenomenon following the success of the format in the U.S.,” Plestis said in a statement. “It is now in more than 56 countries, and I cannot wait to gather together delegates from each and every one, in brand new costumes, for an epic competition series to air across the planet in each Masked Singer territory.” Participating countries will be announced at a later date. No network has picked it up, but Fox would be a natural home since it already airs The Masked Singer.
