Toobin appeared on CNN last Saturday and it's unclear if he'll face punishment from the cable news network for exposing himself during a Zoom call last week between The New Yorker and WNYC Radio. "I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers," Toobin said in a statement to Vice's Motherboard. “I believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video." Toobin has written numerous books, including one that was adapted for FX as The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. UPDATE: CNN says Toobin "has asked for some time off while he deals with a personal issue, which we have granted." UPDATE 2: Toobin allegedly masturbated during the Zoom call.
