This year's ratings were the worst-ever not only in total viewers, but in the demo. Sunday's Tonys was watched by 5.4 million, based on updated Nielsen numbers. The all-time low comes as the Tonys have remained the last major awards show to tape-delay its broadcast to the West Coast. James Corden's opening number was already posted to his Late Late Show YouTube channel more than an hour before it aired for West Coast viewers.
