The 75th annual Tony Awards, taking place Sunday, June 12 at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, becomes the last of the major awards shows to end the practice of showing a tape-delayed broadcast outside the Eastern and Central time zones. Last year, the first two hours of the Tonys were shown on Paramount+ with the final two hours on CBS. This year, the first hour will be shown on Paramount+ starting at 7 p.m. ET. CBS will show the remaining three hours starting at 8 p.m. ET. (Paramount+ will also stream CBS' portion of the awards show show.) The 75th Tony Awards mark a return to normalcy after last year's COVID-delayed ceremony aired on Sept. 26, leading to historic low viewership of 2.62 million.
