Funny Or Die first approached the Tournament of Roses with Ferrell’s idea in early 2016, but it took more than a year and a half to get a deal done because the company was the first new broadcaster in “like 15 years,” says Funny Or Die’s Chris Bruss, who was executive producer of the broadcast, which found a partner in Amazon. Will Cord & Tish return for 2019? “It’s probably too soon to say for sure,” he says. “Obviously we were with the Amazon folks all day on the 1st. They seemed to be thrilled with everything. We’ve had a chance to have a couple good conversations with them since then, as well, and it seems like everybody over at Amazon is super thrilled with just, you know, just creatively how the whole thing came together.”
