Law and Order star Christopher Meloni leaves little to the imagination in a new Peloton ad released on Thursday, National Nude Day. The 61-year-old actor looks better than ever in the commercial, which features him doing various exercises in the nude while using the Peloton app.
"Apparently, some people think the way I work out is strange," Meloni says at the top of the commercial. It's quickly revealed that he's wearing only sneakers and socks, with nothing but a cluster of pixels below his waist.
What follows is an entertaining montage of Meloni doing cardio, yoga, and running in a public park — all in the buff. Even a dog can't take its eyes off Meloni's shredded physique, with subtitles for the dog's bark reading, "Wow! He really does have a great app!"
In a homage to the franchise that made Meloni famous, the commercial ends with a narrator saying, "In the Peloton community, users are represented by two separate, yet equally motivated groups. Those who wear pants... and Christopher Meloni."
As funny as the ad may be, it's rooted in reality, as the actor revealed earlier this year that he does actually work out in the nude. "I work out naked," Meloni told the audience at the 2022 NBCUniversal upfront, per Variety. "It's my gym."
The star added that he doesn't care to "black out the window," even if that means his neighbors catch a glimpse of him au naturel.
"And I'm okay with that," he said. "My wife is not."
