FBI's Season 4 finale has been pulled by CBS in the wake of the tragic shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday afternoon.
The episode, titled "Prodigal Son", was set to feature the team working together to prevent a school shooting. As reported by Deadline, the network decided to not to air the finale due to the similarities to the real-life shooting, in which 14 students and one teacher were killed by an 18-year-old gunman.
The official synopsis of the episode, which no longer appears on the CBS website, read, "As the team investigates a deadly robbery that garnered a cache of automatic weapons for the killers, they discover one of the perps is a classmate of Jubal’s son, who is reluctant to cooperate with the case."
In place of the finale, CBS will air a re-run of the Season 4, Episode 12, "Under Pressure," which originally aired in February.
The network has not said when or if the finale will air. At press time, the change to the network's schedule only applied to FBI, with the season finales of FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International scheduled to air Tuesday night as planned.
