Acclaimed comedy Hacks has been renewed for Season 3 at HBO Max.
Hacks follows Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her young writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) as they work to refresh Deborah's material. Season 2 explores the complicated relationship between Deborah and Ava as they take Deborah's comedy routine on tour.
The renewal comes two weeks after the Season 2 finale, which saw the duo go their separate ways following the successful release of Deborah's new special.
Hacks also stars Paul W. Downs (who co-created the series with Jen Statsky and Lucia Aniello), Meg Stalter, Carl Clemens-Hopkins, and Kaitlin Olson.
"We congratulate Hacks' extraordinarily gifted executive producers and cast, and our partners at Universal Television," said Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content at HBO Max, in a statement. "We are overjoyed at the audience and press response to the new season, and glad to give viewers more of this gorgeous, hilarious, moving show."
Seasons 1 and 2 of Hacks are currently streaming on HBO Max.
