Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jennifer Shah pleaded guilty on Monday to federal charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in an alleged telemarketing scam.

Shah was arrested in March 2021 and was set to go to trial next week. She faces up to 14 years in prison, as well as millions of dollars in fines and restitution, under a deal with prosecutors, according to NBC.

The reality star's sentencing is scheduled for November 28, the Monday after Thanksgiving.

After Shah's arrest last year, then-Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a statement, "Jennifer Shah, who portrays herself as a wealthy and successful businessperson on 'reality' television ... allegedly generated and sold 'lead lists' of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam."

According to the NYPD, Shah allegedly had "hundreds" of victims, and according to the indictment, the scam ran for at least nine years, from 2012 until her arrest in 2021.

Shah allegedly ran a scheme to generate lists of potential victims, many over 55 years of age, and sell their information to telemarketing companies that would then try to sell business services to those victims. In exchange for the info, Shah would receive a share of the allegedly fraudulent revenue.

Shah appeared on the first two seasons of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The star was arrested while filming Season 2, but remained with the show for its third season, which filmed earlier this year but has not set a premiere date. Bravo has yet to make any decisions about Shah's future with the franchise.

Bravo declined to comment on this story.
