The YouTuber also made his intent clear in his X bio, where he wrote that he was the:
“X Super Official CEO”
However, X’s management, including Elon Musk, have not confirmed yet if MrBeast is in consideration for the role. Elon Musk bought the social media platform in 2022. The Tesla CEO’s startup, xAI purchased X in March 2025, as per Reuters.
MrBeast has expressed interest in heading X previously as well. Back in December 2022, before Linda Yaccarino was appointed as the company’s CEO in May 2023, MrBeast posted about his interest in being considered for the job. He wrote on X (then Twitter),
“Can I be the new Twitter CEO?”
Much to the excitement of MrBeast’s fans, Musk responded to the YouTuber, and wrote back saying,
“It’s not out of the question.”
Meanwhile, the former CEO, Yaccarino wished the X team well as she announced her departure from the platform. Emphasizing the importance of X in the digital space, Yaccarino wrote,
“When @elonmusk and I first spoke of his vision for X, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime to carry out the extraordinary mission of this company…X is truly a digital town square for all voices and the world’s most powerful culture signal. We couldn’t have achieved that without the support of our users, business partners, and the most innovative team in the world. I’ll be cheering you all on as you continue to change the world.”
In 2024, MrBeast received an offer from Elon Musk to upload his video-based content to X, as per New York Post. The publication noted that the YouTuber received the offer when he posted an alert for his X followers, urging them to head to YouTube to watch his latest content. He wrote,
“I uploaded, go watch or I’ll drop kick you”
Another X user replied to the post, encouraging MrBeast to upload his content to X as well. Elon Musk lent his support to the sentiment, responding with a simple:
“Yeah.”
Musk’s insistence led MrBeast respond to the Tesla CEO by pointing out critical gaps in the platform’s monetization, because of which he preferred to upload his content to YouTube. MrBeast wrote back saying,
“My videos cost millions to make and even if they got a billion views on X it wouldn’t fund a fraction of it :/ I’m down though to test stuff once monetization is really cranking!”

Back in March 2025, MrBeast appeared on a podcast The Colin and Samir Show, to speak to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who owns and operates various social networking platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
As per Fortune, while sharing insight into the functioning of Meta from the perspective of a content creator, MrBeast said,
"One thing I think really sucks [about Meta] is like, on YouTube you can have different audio tracks. So 70% of my audience on YouTube don’t speak English, so I upload videos, and then you just upload a bunch of different files, so if you click on my video in Mexico, it autoplays in Spanish”
According to Fortune, MrBeast also noted that if he were the CEO of Meta, he would focus on multilingual dubbing to increase content engagement.
