The 20-year-old Paige Bell was found dead in the engine room of the Far From It superyacht on Thursday, July 3, 2025, the Daily Mail reported. The Johannesburg, South Africa native was a crew member on the luxury vessel. According to MailOnline, Brigido Munoz, an engineer from the superyacht, is facing a murder charge and made a court appearance recently.
Paige Bell’s former crewmates from Motor Yacht Sweet Emocean launched a GoFundMe to honor her. The fundraiser is aimed at providing financial support to the late 20-year-old’s family and has raised over $50,000, as of this writing.
For the unversed, the page was created by Captain Frank Prest a few days back with a goal of $60K.

Paige Bell was born on July 14, 2004, and would have turned 21 in a few days. Sharing about her birthday, Captain Frank Prest wrote:
“She would have celebrated her 21st birthday on July 14th. In honor of Paige, her mother has asked that we all eat red velvet cake (her favorite) on that day and share a photo in remembrance of the beautiful soul she was.”
He described Paige Bell as “family” and continued:
“Paige was more than a teammate, she was family. Her radiant spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless compassion made an unforgettable impact on everyone lucky enough to know her. Whether it was long days at sea or quiet moments under the stars, she brought light and warmth wherever she went.”
According to the GoFundMe page, Paige Bell worked on Motor Yacht Sweet Emocean until December 2024. Captain Frank Prest asserted that all donations will go directly to her late ex-colleague’s family to “help ease financial burden.”
He asked for prayers and encouraged others to donate or share the GoFundMe campaign, while remarking that “every gesture matters.”

According to MailOnline, police found the young woman unresponsive near Brigido Munoz in the engine room of the luxury yacht.
Someone alerted the authorities around 1:00 pm on July 3, after Paige Bell was reportedly not “seen for a short period of time.”
Police told the Daily Mail that the vessel was docked at Harbour Island.
Paige Bell’s throat was reported to be slashed, while Munoz also had severe injuries to his arms, potentially due to a s**cide attempt.
The accused was hospitalized and later charged with murder. Per MailOnline, the victim’s body was found partially undressed, and it was mentioned during the hearing that she “may have been s*xually assaulted.”
For those unaware, the accused appeared in a Nassau court on Wednesday, July 9, and was denied bail by Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckly.
Munoz has been placed in custody, with a hearing scheduled on November 20, 2025, the Daily Mail confirmed.
According to the New York Post, Paige Bell’s parents, Michelle and John, were also on the island when the hearing was underway.
