Streamer HasanAbi recently criticized Alex Jones over his reaction to the tragic death of American political activist Charlie Kirk. For those unfamiliar, Kirk was shot dead on Wednesday after he began speaking at an event hosted by his organisation, Turning Point USA, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

A viral video shows Kirk sitting under a white tent at the "Prove Me Wrong" debate table, speaking to an audience about gun violence and mass shootings, when he is suddenly struck in the neck by a gunshot. He is seen recoiling and holding his neck before collapsing to the ground.

The U.S. President shared the news in a Truth Social post, writing:

"The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us."

Many other influential figures also reacted to Kirk's passing, including Alex Jones, who called him a "hero" in an emotional video posted on X on September 11. Responding to Jones' reaction during a livestream, HasanAbi commented on the emotional outburst, where Jones is seen breaking down and saying:

"Think about these bastards, the corporate media covers everything up, they love it, they love it. They love death and scum, we're gonna get them. We're gonna save this country and the world together."

In response, HasanAbi stated that "conservatives really think they're a targeted group," adding:

"I mean, that's a big part of their worldview, right? Permanent, perceived victimhood."

    He added:

"Fascists love claiming to be permanently in a state of victimhood by simultaneously weak and also all-powerful individuals."

"A man is grieving the loss of his friend and all Hasan can do is cynically dismiss it as a performance? This is the true face of leftist "empathy." Absolutely disgusting."

"Hasan is such a degenerate," another user stated.

"How is he spinning this as fake victim hood, bro got shot, I think he's a victim," another user said.

"bruh can’t even grieve a friend," another user wrote.

Other users urged the streamer to be more respectful in light of the situation.

"A man got killed in front of his wife and children and this man is talking about playing victim show some respect this is disgraceful," one user said.

"Folk was human for like two hours until they remembered they could make money from this tragedy if the stir up conflict," another user stated.

HasanAbi discusses what might have prevented the Charlie Kirk shooting

In a recent TikTok video, HasanAbi argued that the only thing that could have possibly prevented the Charlie Kirk shooting was stricter gun control laws, which he believes should have been enacted by past and current administrations.

"And before people say, wear a bulletproof vest, again, he got shot in the neck. A bulletproof vest would not have saved Charlie Kirk, okay? Security did not save Charlie Kirk. The only thing that could have potentially saved Charlie Kirk from getting shot in the neck was if our administrations, prior to this one and this one as well, actually had reasonable gun control as a policy provision in the immediate aftermath of, I don't know, a hundred other school shootings that took place," he said.

Meanwhile, two people were taken into custody following the shooting; however, according to a joint statement released by the FBI and the Utah Public Safety Department, neither of them has any connection to Charlie Kirk's death. Authorities have confirmed an ongoing investigation.

    No other casualties were reported.
