Unconfirmed videos showing Charlie Kirk's shooter lying in wait on UVU's rooftop and running after his assassination goes viral

Following Charlie Kirk's shooting, unconfirmed videos of an unidentified shooter on the UVU's roof has surfaced on social media.

    On Wednesday, September 10, Charlie Kirk was shot dead in the Utah Valley University. The podcaster was visiting the campus as part of his ongoing American Comeback Tour.

    As the news of Kirk's news has shaken the country, new unconfirmed videos featuring his alleged shooter, who appears to be on the University's rooftop, lying in wait.

    Unlike the initial statement released by UVU about the Conservative influencer taken into custody, the shooter is still at large.

    Multiple media outlets report that Kirk is likely to have been shot by a sniper, but neither the authorities nor police officers involved in the have confirmed it yet.

    Following Charlie Kirk's shooting, he was critically injured and was taken to the hospital for urgent treatment.

    Shortly after the incident, Donald Trump announced his passing. 

    The Guardian reports that when Kirk was shot, he was addressing a crowd of 3,000 people at the UVU. A member from the audience had just asked the podcaster about gun violence in the last few minutes before the shooting. 

    Videos from event that have since surfaced on social media show students scrambling across the campus after shots were fired.

    According to the local officials, Charlie Kirk's shooting is believed to be "a targeted attack," with the shot having been taken from the roof of a building.


    Utah's Governor called Charlie Kirk's death a "political assassination"

    While the motive of Charlie Kirk's shooting remains unclearat the moment, Spencer Cox - the mayor of Governor - called it a "political assassination," adding:

    "This is a dark day for our state. It’s a tragic day for our nation."

    Donald Trump also reacted strongly to Kirk's shooting, sharing a video message from the Oval Office, in which he said:

    "My administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity and to other political violence, including the organisations that fund it and support it."

    Following Charlie Kirk's shooting, the UVU campus was on lockdown on Wednesday night.

    In addition to that, more than a dozen officials were also holding guard at the Timpanogos regional hospital, where the podcaster was admitted after being shot. 

    A faculty member at UVU, Greg Cronin, said it was his hope that Kirk's shooting would bring people together instead of create more political divisions. Cronin added:

    "We won’t minimize actions like this around the world, ever. But we can minimize the impact that they are allowed to have."

    Charlie Kirk is survived by his wife, Erika Frantzve Kirk, and their two children.
