VTuber Ironmouse announced her decision to leave VShojo on July 22, 2025. Within a couple of days after her departure, she successfully raised more than a million dollars for the Immune Deficiency Foundation through the Tiltify campaign.

Amid the dispute over leaving her former agency, she accused VShojo of withholding charity funds worth over $500,000 and not paying the foundation, according to a Dexerto report.

The unexpected and alleged revelation sparked an uproar in the online community, with several VTubers joining Ironmouse in quitting from the company.

Ironmouse's campaign made over $1 million for charity

The renowned VTuber is considered one of the most popular and established creators on this online platform. His recent YouTube video, turning the spotlight on VShojo for not paying a significant amount to the charity, broke the internet.

With over a million views on her YouTube video titled "Why I left VShojo," she presented the harsh reality to netizens worldwide. Taking to the description box, she urged viewers to contribute to the Immune Deficiency Foundation, noting,

"Your support makes a difference. Join me in making an impact, please consider making a donation to the Immune Deficiency Foundation"

Her impact and prominence on social media are visibly evident in the charity donation. With the Tiltify fundraiser, she was able to collect more than a million dollars for the foundation by July 23, 2025. Interestingly, her noble initiative earned twice the money she claimed her former agency refused to pay for the charity. With a huge supportive fan base, it was certain that she would raise enough funds to donate to the organization. However, the utmost love, appreciation, and funds from contributions in such a short time surprised her.

On July 23, Ironmouse shared a screenshot of her campaign, showing that it raised $744,282.54 while she posted the update on the X (formerly Twitter) platform. Appreciating people's contributions and support, she expressed her gratitude in the caption, penning,

"i dont really have words that can properly express how i feel. i feel like saying thank you to everyone is not enough. but thank you all so much for your kindness."

Feeling emotional about the success of her philanthropic approach, she further wrote,

"my heart is so full it feels like its going to explode. you all are truly amazing. im gonna go cry now"

In response to the overwhelming generosity shown, the Immune Deficiency Foundation's president & CEO, Jorey Berry, thanked Ironmouse for her efforts. The organization released a video on its official X handle, with Berry lauding the VTuber and reflecting on collecting the huge donation.

    The CEO said,

"Sometimes it's hard to find the right words to say, but I'll try. I wasn't expecting Ironmouse to create a Tiltify fundraiser to benefit us but it shouldn't have surprised me because that's who she is. Even in the midst of challenges, she thought of us before herself."

Acknowledging the gesture, the CEO further expressed,

"What has been raised in less than 48 hours is surreal. Overwhelming in the best possible way."

Looking back at how obstacles were resolved eventually, Berry further continued,

"Honestly, I've known how special mouse [Ironmouse] is for a long time. What I didn't know is an entire community would rally around the Immune Deficiency Foundation in a way I couldn't have imagined."

She also recalled texting the VTuber recently, adding that the social media star's "authenticity and vulnerability" inspire her.

Berry praised netizens and every contributor who donated to the Tiltify fundraiser, further conveying,

"You have inspired me in ways you may not even realize. Gratitude doesn't begin to describe it. So whether you were able to donate or not, you made a difference. More people know about the Immune Deficiency Foundation. More people know about primary immune deficiency. More people know about the need for plasma donation."

Now, Ironmouse aspires to achieve bigger goals and provide as much as possible from her and her fans' end. As Dexerto reported recently, her next plan is to host a livestream this month. The objective of the broadcast will be to gather funds for the charity.

    VTuber community supports Ironmouse

Ironmouse's recent YouTube video, which stated accusations against VShojo, drew widespread criticism for the agency.  Several members of the VTuber community stood beside her and confirmed leaving VShojo. AmaLee, Hime Hajime, Kson, Kuro, Michi, and Projekt Melody were some of the online creators to quit the company soon. While interacting with fans in a livestream, Kson spoke against the agency, noting that she had not received any payment since September last year.

Amid the major chaos and alleged remarks against the company authorities on social media, many internet users also revealed that many VTubers have decided to leave VShojo after the recent controversy. Reportedly, their bio sections on the X platform have no mention of the agency anymore. The mass removal of VShojo from their profiles probably hints at them terminating their associations with the firm.

Despite receiving backlash and reports of accusations and creators parting ways surfacing on the internet, VShojo has yet to release an official statement.

    Why did Ironmouse quit VShojo?

In her Tuesday YouTube video, the famous VTuber claimed that her former company "misled" her in "the past couple of months." Not just restricting the donation to the Immune Deficiency Foundation, she also accused VShojo of owing her "a significant amount of funds."

Before delving into the information, she added that her attorney advised her to "wait for more of the legal procedure to unfold." She also assured of disclosing the necessary details about the same shortly.

While addressing the major problem publicly, Ironmouse also revealed suffering from a primary immune deficiency disease called CVID. Speaking about her health concern, she explained,

"I basically have a low to near non-functioning immune system, which means I get sick a lot and ot caused me to remain isolated for long periods of my life."

Feeling secluded and wishing to make friends online without leaving her home, she began streaming online. Though she never expected to have admirers rooting for her, her one decision changed her life. While opening up about turning streaming into a full-time career, she recounted that VShojo approached her to join the agency.

Sharing how the collaboration helped her to establish her name in the industry, she added,

"It was through VShojo that I was able to grow into the Ironmouse that I am today."

Explaining the reason she chose to stream, she also elaborated,

"When I was approached in 2020 and asked to join VShojo, it seemed like a good idea, but I honestly did not know if I could ever be a corpo VTuber because I felt like I just couldn't. In my mind, I saw myself as unhirable, which is why streaming worked for me. I had no boss, no strict rules. I had no hours, no expectations. It was all up to me. And due to the fact that I have lived my life chronically ill and being unable to do much of anything, I just felt like there was no way that anyone would ever take me or want me."

Admitting feeling uncertain about her shift to the talent agency, Ironmouse further continued,

"For a while, I was struggling to make a decision because I was afraid about my anonymity and afraid about trusting people because I felt like every time I put my trust in people, it always ends in grief for me. So, I always worried about expectations and a million and one other things. But I ultimately decided to join VShojo."

And after the journey of a few years together, Ironmouse announced her confirmation of leaving VShojo.
