This project marks her debut under a multi-album contract with Gamma., a growing indie venture by industry veteran Larry Jackson. And yes longtime collaborator L.A. Reid returns as executive producer: their previous stint together yielded The Emancipation of Mimi (2005) and Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (2009). So we can expect that lush, signature Mariah layering with a modern twist.

The album boasts 11 tracks, including lead single “Type Dangerous,” which dropped June 6 and blends hip-hop-soul with an Eric B. & Rakim sample. That single has already climbed the charts and was performed live at the 2025 BET Awards, where Mimi clinched the Ultimate Icon Award.
