Elizabeth Olsen Reveals a New WandaVision Clip, Debunks Jimmy Kimmel's Full House Fan Theory

In a new WandaVision clip unveiled last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, we see the 1960s Bewitched version of Wanda Maximoff and Vision's life together. 

Wanda wakes up to loud scary noises, flipping the lights on with her mind. When Vision looks out the window for any sort of danger, he sees nothing, but then a gunshot rings out. Instead of being scary, it's a sitcom joke where he jumps back into bed and hides under the covers. 

That lends credence to the theory that this is all a part of Wanda's subconscious, where she's struggling with control of herself (which we've seen happen in the Marvel movies). The gunshot is likely symbolic of her paranoia about the dangers of the outside world intruding on her dreams, which would certainly come from her backstory — she lost her twin brother to Ultron's gunfire, she hated Tony Stark for the 2 days of terror she had waiting for one of his bombs to go off in her childhood home, she was on the run from the governments of the world for years after Civil War, and the stolen moments she had with Vision were cut short by minions of Thanos, and the Vision himself was murdered by that big purple jerk right after she was forced to kill him herself, thanks to that Time Stone. You can see why Wanda might be having some mental health issues.

Speaking with Kimmel, Elizabeth Olsen also entertained some fan theories about what's really going on in WandaVision, although she was contractually obligated not to confirm nor deny anything, of course. The "House of Misery" wine bottle referencing Marvel's House of M comics seems like it could be on the money, though. Those books profiled a mental breakdown Wanda had that resulted in some disastrous side effects for the entire world.

Kimmel offered his own fan theory, about how Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) from Full House might be entering the MCU thanks to Olsen's resemblance to her sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. "That would be incredible," she said. "It is very meta, the whole thing."

WandaVision premieres Friday January 15 on Disney+.
