On Monday, late night had a variety of reactions to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars, but James Corden was the only host to insist "We Don't Talk About Jada." In a parody of Encanto's smash hit "We Don't Talk About Bruno," Corden and his team recapped the 94th Academy Awards without referencing the shocking altercation, which has since come to define the entire three-and-a-half-hour broadcast.
"We don't talk about Jada," sang Corden, with an assist from colorful backup singers and dancers. "We don't talk about Jada. We can talk about Javier that's okay. We can talk about Denzel. We can talk about Penelope Cruz. But we don't talk about Jada."
However, Corden didn't quite follow Encanto's lead. In his nightly news recap, which came right after the song parody, The Late Late Show broke down The Slap, joking, "It completely ruined my chances in the Oscar poll. I had Dame Judy Dench smacking Woody Harrelson."
