It was business as usual for Jimmy Kimmel in his first week back from summer break.
Last night, the ABC host trolled Donald Trump for calling into Newsmax to celebrate President Biden's flagging poll numbers and repeating his many lies about the election. "Well, I beat him in 2020," he falsely claimed, after a Newsmax anchor said that an Emerson Poll shows him "beating Biden by one point" in a potential 2024 reelection. "I mean, I think we won the election by a lot. I don't even think."
"So, that's his secret," Kimmel replied with a laugh. "I've not agreed with him before but he's right. He does not think."
Kimmel continued to riff on Trump's September 11 plans (he'll be at the Holyfield vs. Belfort boxing match in Hollywood, Florida). "You may ask, does Donald Trump know enough about boxing to call four fights? Well, take a look and decide for yourself," he said, as he pressed play an old clip of Trump awkwardly pawing at the air in boxing gloves and a robe. "Donald Trump hasn't been this unqualified to do a job since his old job."
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 PM ET on ABC.
