Winona Ryder reprises her role from the 1990 Tim Burton film Edward Scissorhands, and Timothée Chalamet plays her son Edgar with a similar affliction in this Super Bowl ad for the Cadillac Lyriq, an electric car with a "hands-free super cruise" option.
Edgar appears exactly like Johnny Depp did in the title role of the film, cursed with giant blade-fingers that make everyday life challenging, hence the tie-in for a hands-free driving experience. The fine print still says "always pay attention when driving and using Super Cruise," so don't get too excited thinking fully self-driving cars have arrived, but it sure seems like a "handy" feature for a guy with deadly hands.
