Premiere week is officially underway, and with new shows debuting, old favorites coming back, and beloved stars returning to their old stomping grounds, there are a staggering number of offerings to choose from. Here are tonight's highlights:
SERIES PREMIERE: Jimmy Smits became a star playing a lawyer on NBC's L.A. Law, which makes Bluff City Law a homecoming in more ways than one. Shot entirely on location in Memphis, the series stars Smits as Elijah Strait, the figurehead of the city's top law firm. The pilot finds Elijah's estranged daughter Sydney returning to the firm to join a case against a corporation whose product may cause cancer. SEASON PREMIERE: Gwen Stefani isn't letting her Vegas residency stop her from returning to The Voice, where she'll join John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton. The 17th season of the long-running talent competition kicks off tonight with the blind auditions. 8:00 PM ET on NBC
SERIES PREMIERE: Joining Bluff City Law in the Monday night legal landscape is the drama All Rise, which approaches the legal world from the perspective of the prosecutors, public defenders, judges, bailiffs, and clerks who keep the Los Angeles legal system moving. SERIES PREMIERE: The Big Bang Theory's Chuck Lorre presents Bob (Hearts) Abishola. The series follows a sock salesman who falls in love with the nurse who cares for him as he's recovering from a heart attack. Watch the preview. 8:30 PM ET on CBS
SERIES PREMIERE: He's not just a serial killer expert, he's a serial killer's pride and joy. Uber producer Greg Berlanti's Prodigal Son — which the network hopes will be the next House — follows "mindhunter" Malcolm Bright (Tom Payne) as he profiles killers for the NYPD, while working on his relationship with his mother and coming to terms with his serial killer father. SEASON PREMIERE: Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, and Oliver Stark return for the third season of 9-1-1. The season premiere finds the team dealing with high speed highway incidents and a brazen kidnapping. 8:00 PM ET on Fox
SEASON PREMIERE: Tonight is all about surgery, as The Good Doctor finds Shaun proposing a lifesaving operation, while Dr. Lim makes a major announcement, and two doctors compete for the chance to perform an operation on a cancer patient. 10:00 PM ET on ABC
SEASON PREMIERE: He's back, and Bull's life is about to get a whole lot more complicated as he prepares to become a father. Life in the courtroom is also heating up, with a complicated involuntary manslaughter case. 10:00 PM ET on CBS
SEASON PREMIERE: Calvin (Cedric the Entertainer) and Dave (Max Greenfield) have been neighbors for a year now, but lines are drawn in the season premiere of The Neighborhood when Calvin gets territorial as his big barbecue approaches. 8:00 PM ET on CBS
NEW EPISODE: A buyer takes issue with the quality of Frankie's adult product on The Deuce. Meanwhile, Candy and Hank come to a financial understanding. 9:00 PM ET on HBO
NEW EPISODE: The Brady kids tackle the family room and kitchen on A Very Brady Renovation. Then, after furnishing Alice's room, they landscape the backyard… with astroturf of course! HGTV spent a fortune purchasing the house for the show, but it seems the bet is really paying off. 9:00 PM ET on HGTV
