With coronavirus cases spiking across the country and local officials asking those who can to stay at home, TV is doing its part this weekend by offering up a full menu of programming to suit your every mood, including a new Netflix holiday musical starring Dolly Parton, the return of a beloved 90s cartoon series, and an all-star filmed adaptation of Ta-Nehisi Coates' Between the World and Me.

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 20

MINISERIES PREMIERE: Academy Award winning director Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave) presents Small Axe, a weekly anthology series of five feature-length films set within London’s West Indian community from the late 1960s to the early 80s. SERIES PREMIERE: Multi-platinum recording artist and producer Pharrell Williams is behind the uplifting docuseries Voices of Fire, in which he helps his uncle Bishop Ezekiel Williams assemble the best gospel choir their hometown of Hampton Roads, Virginia has ever seen. SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21
SPECIAL PRESENTATION: HBO plays host to an all-star filmed adaptation of Ta-Nehisi Coates' Between the World and Me. Mahershala Ali, Angela Bassett, Angela Davis, Alicia Garza, Clifford "Ti" Harris, Jharrel Jerome, Mimi Jones, Wendell Pierce and Phylicia Rashad are among the many actors participating. MADE FOR TV MOVIE: Mario Lopez produced and stars in the holiday rom-com Feliz NaviDAD as a single dad who's lost the spirit of the season -- that is, until his daughter (Paulina Chavez) and sister (Marycarmen Lopez) match him with a witty musician, played by AnnaLynne McCord. SPECIAL PRESENTATION: After sparking an outcry from angry Peanuts fans, Apple TV+ announced earlier this week that had struck a deal with PBS to bring the classic Charlie Brown holiday specials back to broadcast TV, beginning with tonight's A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.
