Black Bird, The Boys, and Conjuring Kesha Lead a Weekend of Premieres and Finales

Streaming is the place to be this weekend as a slew of high-profile shows debut. Apple TV+ bows psychological thriller Black Bird, while The Boys wraps its third season on Prime Video and Conjuring Kesha brings paranormal activity to Discovery+.

Also this weekend: Abbott Elementary star Janelle James hosts ABC's new game show The Final Straw, Ranveer Singh and Bear Grylls brave the wilderness on Netflix, Lana Condor gets ghost-ified in Boo, Bitch, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

FRIDAY JULY 8

Black Bird: Series premiere. When Jimmy Keene (Taron Egerton), the son of a decorated policeman, is sentenced to 10 years in prison, he’s given the choice of a lifetime: go undercover to befriend a suspected serial killer and go free , or stay where he is and serve his full sentence without the possibility of parole. Keene quickly realizes his only way out is to elicit a confession, but first he must determine if the suspected killer is telling the truth or weaving another tale. Conjuring Kesha: Series premiere. Pop star Kesha and her celebrity friends explore some the country’s biggest mysteries, haunted locations, and supernatural phenomena in a spook-tacular Discovery+ docuseries. Ranveer vs. Wild With Bear Grylls: Interactive special. Join Indian superstar Ranveer Singh and adventurer Bear Grylls as they brave the Serbian wilderness to find a rare flower. The special serves as Netflix India’s first interactive title. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

Boo, Bitch: Complete first season. Erika Vu (Lana Condor) has spent high school under the radar, but just as she makes a promise to live life to the fullest, she dies and wakes up as a ghost. Trigger Point: Series premiere. Set in the high-pressure world of bomb disposal, this British drama follows two frontline officers (Vicky McClure and Adrian Lester) as they work to thwart a terrorist campaign threatening London. How to Build a Sex Room: Complete first season. Couples looking for more spice in the bedroom hire luxury interior designer Melanie Rose to create stylish spaces where they can carry out their wildest fantasies. The Sea Beast: Original film. Celebrated monster hunter Jacob Holland (voiced by Karl Urban) has made a name for himself on the high seas, but when young Maisie Brumble (Zaris-Angel Hator) stows away on his ship, the unlikely allies journey into uncharted waters and make history. RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: New episode. Streaming on Paramount+

The Longest Night: Complete Season 1. Armed forces surround a psychiatric prison and cut off all communication in hopes of capturing a serial killer, but they aren’t prepared for the all-out battle that ensues. Dynasty: New episode. As Blake (Grant Show) and Ben (guest star Brett Tucker) face off in court, Cristal (Daniella Alonso) sees a different side of Blake. Charisma Carpenter also makes a guest appearance as Heather, Fallon’s (Elizabeth Gillies) former nanny. Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on The CW

Flowers in the Attic: The Origin: Limited series premiere. After a whirlwind romance, Olivia (Jemima Rooper) finds herself as the mistress of the imposing Foxworth Hall, where she soon discovers that the fairy tale life she expected has quickly become a nightmare. Unprecedented: Complete docuseries. Alex Holder offers a window into the final days of the Trump administration in a bombshell three-part documentary, featuring sit-down interviews with former President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka Trump. Holder's footage was subpoenaed by the January 6 committee, as cameras were rolling during and immediately after the insurrection. Watch trailer. Streaming on Discovery+

Celebrity Family Feud: Season 8 premiere. In what could well end up being a preview of this year's Emmys, as the casts of Abbott Elementary and Hacks, led by Jean Smart, compete to win money for their respective charities. In the second half of the episode, Kal Penn goes head-to-head with actor Erika Christensen. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

The Final Straw: Series premiere. Four teams of contestants face off to pull items out of huge tipping towers made up of various objects, from basketballs to kitchen appliances, in order to earn prizes. The last team standing competes against The Mega Stack in hopes of winning a life-changing jackpot. Women Who Rock: Docuseries premiere. Epix pays tribute to female pioneers in music in this four-part docuseries, as Shania Twain, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Tori Amos and others reflect on their hard-won success and tell their stories in their own words. The Anarchists: Docuseries premiere. In 2015, Canadian entrepreneur Jeff Berwick launched a conference in Acapulco, Mexico in hopes of promoting anarchy in its purest form, but over the course of six years the event turned into a massive movement with dangerous, real-world implications. HBO chronicles this descent into chaos in a six-part docuseries, featuring interviews with Berwick, anarchy activists, and American fugitives on the run. 10:00 PM ET on HBO

Supreme Team: Docuseries premiere. Showtime chronicles the Queens, New York crime syndicate known as The Supreme Team, and tells the real story directly from its two leaders in this three-part documentary. Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff and Gerald “Prince” Miller chart their own journey, as LL Cool J, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, and journalist Joy Reid weigh in on the broader cultural dynamics at play. Married to Medicine: Season 9 premiere. Miss Quad Webb also joins the main cast, while Audra Frimpong, a real estate attorney and Dr. Martin Curry’s fiancée, steps up as a new friend. 9:00 PM ET on Bravo

WWE Rivals: Series premiere. Freddie Prinze Jr. leads a roundtable of WWE luminaries as they discuss the storylines and dynamic characters behind the greatest rivalries in WWE history. The premiere follows the feud between Bret “The Hitman” Hart and Shawn Michaels, while subsequent episodes focus on “Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs. The Rock and The Undertaker vs. Kane.
