Trash bag spiders, crashed witch legs, cloth ghosts and other simple Halloween decors to try now

    1) Trash Bag spider webs

This simple hack involves cutting curved lines along the edges of black trash bags and unfolding them to reveal large, creepy spiders. These are perfect outdoor decorations that cost next to nothing. For added fun, place a white spider made out of rope and impress trick-or-treaters.

    2) Crashed Witch legs

The crashed witch legs are popular online, and for good reason. This simple, eye-catching Halloween decor is made by slipping some thigh-high socks on your pool noodles and placing them in bushes with pointy black shoes and a broom.

    3) Cloth ghosts

Some creators claim they achieved the creepy cloth ghost decor with less than $3, and you can, too! All you need is a creepy cloth from the dollar store, some glue, some balloons and black fabric. Mix the creepy cloth in glue and place it on balloons to dry overnight. Once the balloons are dried, remove them, and you have an impressive ghost face!

    4) Ghost Mirrors

DIY ghost mirrors are perfect for spooking Halloween party guests and trick-or-treaters. To achieve this decor, get an old mirror, a spooky clip, a tablet, soapy water and mirrored film. Follow the step-by-step guides provided on TikTok for excellent results.

    5) Dollar store chandelier

One of the cheapest Halloween decorations, the dollar store chandelier, is made by combining chains and skull head decorations from the Dollar Store. Chains are put together using cords, and a magnetic or strip hook is attached to the ceiling. For best results, add plug-in lights!

    6) Ceramic Pumpkin jars

Ceramic pumpkin jars from Walmart can go a long way in making your home Halloween-appropriate. Get any color of jar from the store and apply orange and green paint where applicable. You can mould jars from clay and create Jack-O-Lanterns by cutting out eyes and a mouth and inserting a lamp.

    7) Haunted portraits

Haunted portraits are clever Halloween decorations that are easy to achieve. Materials needed include two oversized frames, spray paint, adhesive, and printed-out spooky portraits. Using the above-mentioned materials, create a picture frame and cut holes in the eyes. Insert LED battery lights in the holes, and you are ready to scare visitors on Halloween.

    8) Puking Skeleton

The Puking Skeleton decor is an innovative Halloween project that went viral in 2024. It requires more materials than most DIY Halloween decorations, but it is guaranteed to draw attention on spooky days. You’ll need foam, a barrel, a Skeleton, water, green fluorescent spray paint, tracer dye, a clear tube and a water pump. Follow the easy steps online for great results.

    9) Haunted Mermaid

The Haunted mermaid decor can be achieved using a skeleton, mermaid tails and other costumes. You can create a platform for the decor using old boxes, glue, and spray foam. Black and golden paint can also enhance the ghoulish look and create a spooky effect.

    10)  Haunted forest

Create a haunted forest using wire trees, pool noodles, and scary-looking ornaments. If you opt for pool noodles, cut the top part into the shape of branches and wrap them in plastic. Paint them to achieve a wooden look and attach fake spiders, webs, skulls and as many Halloween decor items as you can find.
