“I wanted to fix things in my life and make the changes I needed to make” — Jojo Siwa breaks silence after breaking up with Kath Ebbs

Dancer and media personality Jojo Siwa opened up about her breakup with partner Kath Ebbs. Fresh off leaving the Celebrity Big Brother UK house, Siwa appeared on the British breakfast show This Morning on Monday, April 28, 2025, and addressed the recent rumors surrounding her love life.

For the unversed, Siwa confirmed dating Australian influencer Ebbs earlier this year. In April, the 21-year-old dancer starred in the 24th season of Celebrity Big Brother UK (CCB), where she formed a close friendship with Chris Hughes. Since then, fans began speculating on their relationship, some even believing Siwa was cheating on Ebbs. On Saturday, Ebbs took to their TikTok (since deleted) alleging Siwa "dumped" them during a CCB afterparty.

Confirming their separation, Jojo Siwa told This Morning hosts that she broke up after realizing on CCB that she had been tolerating things that "never should have been OK with in the first place." Talking about the timing of their split, she elaborated:

"I knew as soon as I got out, I wanted to fix things in my life and make the changes that I needed to make."

Talking to This Morning's Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Jojo Siwa explained the show allowed her to reflect on "many things" in her life, including her relationship. She explained that during her time on the show, she chose not to "air that out very publicly" but wanted to "fix" them once out. She elaborated:

"I think you have this experience that’s so exhilarating, it’s 20 days but it feels like four and a half years, and the first thing you want to do when you get out is just exactly what you need to do in your life to make it as good as you can."

The Dance Moms alum also addressed the timing of her split with Kath Ebbs, noting that it wasn't her intention. Ebbs was initially not supposed to attend the wrap party but decided at the last moment to come. Siwa wanted to have a "conversation" before, but things escalated.

"They straight up asked me if I was happy, and I said ‘no,’ and, you know, one thing led to another and that conversation did take place there," Jojo Siwa elaborated.

When questioned if Chris Hughes played a factor in their separation, the 21-year-old dancer denied it. She noted that they share a "close bond." Hughes, who was also present during the interview, agreed, stating they have a soulmate friendship. "When asked whether their friendship would turn into something more, Jojo Siwa asserted that it was "platonic."

According to Independent, in their 13-minute TikTok video (since deleted), Kath Ebbs claimed they flew "across the world" to support Siwa after leaving the CCB house. However, much to their "shock," Siwa broke up with him while Hughes was "in the next room."

Ebbs claimed the dancer told them she had "confused feelings" and realized Ebbs wasn't the person she wanted to "spend the foreseeable future with." Quoting the Australian influencer's TikTok, the outlet wrote:

"(Jojo Siwa) told me a lot of big things and reassured me ‘til the cows come home, (but) has decided that they don't want to be with me and they wanna explore independence and explore certain feelings."

Ebbs noted that they felt humiliated and embarrassed. They also addressed Jojo Siwa's close relationship with Chris Hughes, calling it "emotional cheating" and "the overstepping of boundaries."

Ebbs has not publicly reacted to Jojo Siwa's interview.
