Nicki Minaj’s comments at the Turning Point USA event, AmericaFest, on December 21, where she specifically appreciated Donald Trump, have now landed her in trouble. A new petition has been launched to deport her to Trinidad. The rapper was born in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago.

Baller Alert stated that the campaign on Change.org originally started in the summer season this year. The person who launched the petition was Pedonika Minaj.

The page description alleged that Nicki Minaj was dealing with psychosis and described her behavior as “erratic.” The petition states that such actions are unacceptable and have led to intervention on various occasions.

The campaign even criticized how the Steven Universe star was taking the side of her husband, who has been charged with r*pe in the past and taken into custody a few years ago. The description addressed the same by adding:

“Minaj’s choice of partner puts further stain on her reputation. She is married to Kenneth Petty, a registered s*x offender, whose criminal history brings additional concern. Despite the gravity of his past actions, Minaj continues to fiercely defend him, reportedly going as far as intimidating and threatening his victims.”

As of this writing, the petition has garnered over 40,000 verified signatures. Furthermore, the Saturday Night Live star has also not commented on the matter.

The page stated that although the singer is a popular figure, her influence cannot be the reason why she can exceed what is accepted under the “legal and moral boundaries.” The petition reads that Nicki Minaj is a danger to everyone and that deportation is the only way out to avoid any bad consequences.

“It would ensure the safety of American citizens and send a clear message that harassment and support of criminal activity will not be tolerated. Let us stand together in urging the authorities to take immediate action for the safety and well-being of all involved,” the description says.

Nicki Minaj’s Instagram page is inactive: Comments on Donald Trump and more explained

The Port of Spain, Trinidad, native created headlines when she appeared with Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, on stage during Turning Point USA’s event. As per Black Enterprise, Nicki’s support towards the organization received backlash since the late political activist has previously made unacceptable comments about her and Black people.

Minaj’s praise of Donald Trump specifically grabbed a lot of attention when she called him handsome and dashing. She was speaking to Erika as part of an interview when she addressed the criticism towards her due to her support for the U.S. President.

According to The Independent, Nicki had criticized Trump’s immigration policy seven years ago. Minaj sought to put a stop to it, as she referred to the policy on social media, saying it was “scary.”

The RuPaul’s Drag Race star told Erika at the event that she did not notice the backlash emerging online, adding that she never thinks too much about it. Nicki Minaj even referred to the Vice President JD Vance during the conversation. Minaj said:

“This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them. Our vice president, he makes me… well, I love both of them. Both of them have a very uncanny ability to be someone that you relate to.”

A few days after the event, multiple reports by outlets like The Independent and NME revealed that Minaj’s Instagram page had been deactivated. The reports claimed that the account now appears with a message saying that it is unavailable. The reasons for the same are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj’s petition has been receiving more signatures every second. As mentioned, an official response to the ongoing criticism and the campaign is currently awaited.
