Internet personality Trisha Paytas recently welcomed her third child, Aquaman Moses Paytas-Hacmon, with husband Moses Hacmon. As she celebrated her family getting bigger, the YouTuber revealed another name they almost chose for their son.
During the Tuesday, July 22, 2025, episode of her Just Trish podcast, Paytas explained she and Hamcon initially contemplated naming him after one of the latter's poems, Water Snake. She stated:
"I will say my number one that we were so close to naming the baby is not a movie poster but I loved it so much. It’s Moses’ poem Water Snake."
Trisha began dating Israeli artist Moses Hacmon sometime in the early 2020s.
They were engaged by December and married a year later. The couple share daughters Malibu Barbie, 2, and Elvis, 13 months.
In the podcast episode, Trisha Paytas explained why she loved the name Water Snake, stating:
"I love ‘Water Snake,’ It’s the Year of the Snake, Moses is a snake. We love water. I loved (the movie) Water World. I loved the name Water."
She continued to add that her husband, Moses Hacmon, loved and she "adopted his philosophy."
It is worth noting that Moses shared his poem, Water Snake, on his YouTube channel, Channel Water, back in 2017.
Trisha Paytas also revealed other names they considered. This included Moses Jr., Aladdin, and Paper Mate.
Despite the latter two names not being water-themed, Paytas really loved them. However, Hacmon vetoed the two names "pretty quick."
Elaborating on how they zeroed in on Aquaman, the influencer explained she loved the DC superhero since the 2017 film came out, adding:
"I’ve been wearing Aquaman T-shirts for years, since 2017 when the first Justice League came out. I have gone to so many Comic Cons for Aquaman. And I really fell in love when we rewatched Aquaman."
Trisha Paytas asserted that she had watched all Aquaman-related films and TV shows, including the cartoon.
She took a deep dive into the character to "find out every single piece" of lore related to her son. She continued:
"He’s of two heritages, like our baby. He connects the land and sea, which is Moses’ order at Benihana. He can talk telepathically to fish. He’s also blonde and brunette, which—plot twist: our Aquaman has blonde hair."
Trisha Paytas is referencing Benihana, a chain of Japanese restaurants. Notably, it has a specialty item called Land 'n Sea featuring a filet mignon with scallops.
Elsewhere in the episode, Paytas explained that this would "likely" be her last pregnancy. She explained that her original due date was July 29, with her C-section scheduled for July 18. However, Aquaman "came early."
The YouTuber elaborated that her water broke ahead of schedule. When they rushed to the hospital, her doctor wasn't available.
Calling it the "most chaotic, traumatizing" birth, Trisha Paytas added:
"I actually thought I was going to die—I was like, 'I don't know if I can handle this.'"
Paytas continued to explain that she had to wait for three other emergency C-sections to be completed before doctors could see her. She added the actual delivery was quick.
Trisha's podcast episode is available to stream on YouTube.
