According to The Daily Beast's Max Tani, CBS News sent an internal guidance Wednesday advising its staff to avoid using any "overly dramatic label" to describe Trump supporters' siege on the U.S. Capitol. "We should not be calling htis an attempted coup or a terrorist attack," the memo said. But after President-elect Biden used the terms "riotous mob," "insurrectionists" and "domestic terrorists" this morning to describe the rioters, "we want to adjust our guidance to allow use of those terms," CBS News said in a memo sent out today.
