Derek Kolstad, who has written all the John Wick films, will serve as writer and executive producer on Splinter Cell, which is being developed with video game company Ubisoft. Variety reports Netflix has given a two-season 16-episode order for Splinter Cell, which "follows former U.S. Navy SEAL Sam Fisher after he is recruited by the NSA to work for the mysterious Third Echelon division within the agency. The game sees Fisher engage in number of black ops missions, employing stealth and military tactics." Splinter Cell, first released in 2002, has spawned six sequels and a series of novels.
