MTV Movie & TV Awards postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic

MTV never announced a firm date for this year's ceremony. The annual awards show, which began in 1992, usually takes place in mid-June. The postponement comes as the MTV VMAs considers proceeding with an audience in August from the Barclays Center.
