Samantha Bee is grateful for Full Frontal's seven Emmy nominations in the aftermath of her C-word controversy

Hours after her TBS late-night show earned seven nominations, Bee told The Hollywood Reporter that the Ivanka Trump C-word controversy "affected me a lot. I've been thinking a lot about it," adding: "I think we handled it well, but it was a pretty steep learning curve." In another interview with Deadline, Bee added: “I think that’s the kind of world we’re living in now, and I won’t be surprised when it happens again when I strike a nerve and cause some reaction." Bee said she will be “better prepared for it emotionally” next time. “You can’t make the show from a place of fear and intimidation,” she said, adding: “I don’t think it means changing the job; it’s just something to have in the back of my mind at all times."
