Back in 2011, Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) left the Special Victims Unit without a word to his colleagues, but he's coming back, and in this promo for the upcoming crossover event between Law & Order: SVU and his new show, Law & Order: Organized Crime, we see him attempt to explain himself to Fin Tutuola (Ice-T).
"When I left SVU, I know I didn't handle that well," Stabler admits.
"You didn't handle it at all!" Fin (Ice-T) responds. "We worked side-by-side for ten years, man!"
Stabler says he "just kept waiting for the right moment" to reach out, but it looks he won't be waltzing back into everyone's good graces right away.
Law & Order: Organized Crime premieres April 1 on NBC.
