The women of The View have a message for conspiracy theorist Alex Jones: Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
On Thursday, the panel discussed Jones being ordered to pay nearly $1 billion in damages to the families of Sandy Hook victims, who sued the Infowars owner for spreading lies about the 2012 mass shooting. All five co-hosts were united in their condemnation of Jones, with Joy Behar and Alyssa Farah Griffin describing him as "demonic" and "a vile scumbag," respectively.
Former prosecutor Sunny Hostin was first to speak out against Jones, arguing that the lawsuit "sets precedent" for future defamation cases. "He says he's proud of his work. I mean, he's responsible for almost every single conspiracy theory and lie that was spread over the past five years," she said, citing Pizzagate and Trump's false election claims. "How could someone be proud of that work?"
"He seems demonic," said Behar. "And his followers seem demented and delusional."
"This is about as bad as you can get, I think," she continued. "I have never seen anybody more demonic than this. When you are getting off, somehow, on people's pain that their children were killed. What kind of a person is this?"

After Sara Haines wished for Jones "to feel even a fraction of the pain [the families] have felt for the rest of his life," Whoopi Goldberg pointed out the hypocrisy of right-wing conspiracy theorists. "People always talk about the sanctity of children, and yet they support this man. So how do you balance that out?" she asked. "You keep saying, 'Children, children,' but you don't give a flying duck foot about children!"
Griffin, the lone conservative at the table, wholeheartedly agreed. "I really try not to make things personal and call names, but this man is a vile scumbag," she said. "He is a bottom-feeder. He is profiting off the death of innocent children and causing pain to the families."
"10 years ago, when I was working on Capitol Hill for Republicans, he was seen as a fraud, someone you would never associate with. He was not mainstream," she continued. "In recent years he's become more mainstream, and that's something people need to be horrified with, they need to speak out against."
"He should be de-platformed! I hope that Infowars shutters. I hope we don't have to hear from this man again," concluded Griffin. "He is a vile person. And honestly, this money is nothing compared to the loss that these families faced."
