The 2024 election is still two-and-a-half years away, but Sara Haines is already throwing her support behind Hillary Clinton. Thursday morning on The View, Haines said that she's like "someone who can't get over a breakup" when it comes to the former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee. "I love Hillary Clinton," said Haines. "With every day that passes, I love her more."
While her co-hosts largely dismissed recent op-eds suggesting that Hillary Clinton could make a comeback in 2024, Haines felt differently. The self-proclaimed independent said she "voted for her the first time," and would happily do so again, should the opportunity arise.
"With her book and her documentary ... sometimes I do dream of a world under President Hillary Clinton, and I can't get past that," said Haines. "I don't know how many people agree with me, but that's where I stand on this. I wouldn't mind."
OP-ED FLOATS BIDEN-CHENEY TICKET IDEA: After Vice Pres. Harris was asked about a ‘New York Times’ op-ed that proposed a 2024 ticket between Pres. Joe Biden and Rep. Liz Cheney, the co-hosts weigh in on if it's just chatter or a plausible pairing. https://t.co/cVclFZQmjA pic.twitter.com/7vV0PzpjIc

Elsewhere on The View... Saturday Night Live star Cecily Strong opened up about impersonating right-wing figures like Judge Jeanine Pirro and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. "On Update, every time we did it, it was like, it can never be lateral. We have to go one step higher. Which wound up ending up getting into a box of wine," said Strong, joking that Pirro is "one of the most physical characters" she's done on the show.
Strong went on to say that she enjoys playing "over the top women," and luckily, these conservatives give her a lot of material to work with. "We just need to be able to laugh," she said. "And it feels, especially right now — everything is just so absurd that over the top is really the only way to treat any of it."
