The women of The View took a brief break from politics Friday morning to discuss Kanye West's persistent attacks on ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson. The co-hosts were clear that Ye's behavior, particularly the recent video depicting him kidnapping and burying Davidson, is "threatening" and "foreshadowing potential danger" towards Kardashian and Davidson. As Joy Behar put it, "Isn't this a textbook demonstration of an abusive stalker?"
Ye has spent the past few weeks harassing Davidson on Instagram, but on Wednesday, he escalated his one-sided feud in the music video for "Eazy." The video depicts a Claymation version of Ye kidnapping Davidson, torturing him, and burying him with his head exposed.
"It's really scary to watch," Sara Haines said of Ye's video and his obsessive behavior. "It starts to give you a weird feeling in your stomach, and that's because you should have a weird — that's like a sixth sense, of sorts. This is stalking. It's harassment. It's abusive."

Ana Navarro chimed in to say that she doesn't "understand why these social media platforms are allowing him to do this" when it is clearly in violation of their own policies. "There's a prohibition against serious threats of harm to personal and public safety. Those are not allowed," she said. "When you look at that video, it's not even a question. It's a threat, and it's of public and private harm to Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian."
For her part, Sunny Hostin noted that Ye was diagnosed with bipolar disorder five years ago and said that this may be a factor in his recent public outbursts. "He was interviewed by David Letterman and I remember him saying that it's very difficult for him because he thinks everyone's against him and he described paranoia and people are out to kill him. And Kim has been very honest about the fact that at some point, he stopped taking his medication," she said. "I'm not by any means saying his behavior is appropriate, but I think we have to take that into consideration that he's obviously not getting the help that he needs."
